Online Bill Pay Through Your Bank

Many of our residents prefer to use their bank’s Online Bill Pay feature. This service is typically free, saves you the cost of postage, and avoids the transaction fees associated with online credit card payments.

While your WCSD bill amount may vary each month based on usage, you can still automate your payments through your bank's portal.

WCSD Billing Cycle & Due Dates

  • Billing Date: Bills are generated on the 5th of every month and mailed via USPS the same or next business day.
  • Due Date: All payments are due by the 25th of the same month.
  • Late Fees: A $10.00 late fee is automatically applied to any account with an unpaid balance after the 25th.

Legal Disclaimers & Terms of Use

  • Independent Service: The Weott Community Services District (WCSD) is not a bank. This guide is for educational purposes only. WCSD has no control over your bank's internal processes or apps.
  • The "Received" Rule: A "scheduled" date on your bank's website is not the date WCSD receives the funds. Banks typically mail a physical check for these services. WCSD is not responsible for postal delays. To ensure your payment arrives by the 25th and you avoid the $10 late fee, we recommend scheduling your payment at least 7–10 business days before the due date.
  • Accuracy of Information: It is the resident's sole responsibility to ensure the Account Number and Mailing Address are entered correctly into their banking portal. Payments sent with incorrect information may be returned or lost.
  • Shut-off Notices: Setting up a recurring payment does not pause a pending "Notice of Disconnection" for prior unpaid balances. If you have a shut-off notice, contact the office at (707) 946-2367 immediately.

1. How it Works

When you set up Bill Pay, your bank will automatically mail a check to the District on a date you choose every month. WCSD does not send a digital request; your bank handles the delivery of a physical check.

2. Information You Will Need

To set this up in your bank's mobile app or website, add Weott Community Services District as a "Payee" with the following details:

  • Payee Name: Weott Community Services District (or WCSD)
  • Account Number: [Your Account Number found on your bill]
  • Mailing Address: PO Box 218, Weott, CA 95571
  • Phone Number: (707) 946-2367

3. Managing Variable Bill Amounts

Since your bill varies, we recommend one of these two methods:

Option A: The "Set and Forget" (Average Amount)

You can call the office at (707) 946-2367 to ask for your "High Average" bill amount. You can then set your bank to automatically send that fixed amount every month by the 10th or 12th to ensure it arrives by the 25th.

  • Note: If your usage is higher than your set amount, a balance will remain. If it is lower, a credit will be applied to your next bill.

Option B: The "Review and Send" (Monthly Adjustment)

Most banks allow you to set up a "Recurring Payment" that you can edit before it sends.

  1. Set the payment date for the 12th of the month.
  2. When your bill arrives (usually around the 7th or 8th), log into your bank app.
  3. Adjust the payment amount to match your current bill.
  4. The bank will then mail the check in time to meet the 25th deadline.

4. Benefits of Bank Bill Pay

  • Avoid the $10 Late Fee: By automating your payment early in the month, you stay ahead of the 25th deadline.
  • No Processing Fees: Since the bank is sending a check, you aren't charged credit card or online transaction fees.
  • Security: Your bank keeps your data secure; you never have to share login info with the District.
